have a KENNETH L R PHILLIPS marrrying TWIST april - june quarter 1936 at newton lancashire ref no 8c 492 i have tried looking on free bmd and on lancashire bdm is there any other way i could find out what the brides first name was without sending for a birth cert. I am looking into this families history because a very close friend of mine has just had their first grandchild and their daughter is in intensive care in hospital with complications after the birth. I thought this would give me something to do to take my mind off it and also when all is back to normal ( please god ) then it would be a lovely present for them I want to do this on my own and not bother them love linda x
