Depends when it was.... I got divorce papers from 1936 from National Archives Documents online site. You could try A2A site too. And I think 1837online had some references on certain marriages that ended in divorce although there is a cut off date I believe. Ps. the documents I got were sent digitally by email so I didn't actually go to Kew , they cost about £7.50 I think to download. Kim

There is also http://www.spartacus.schoolnet*.*co.uk/REVhistoryfamily.htm 1837 Online: On this site you will find the entire copy of the indexes of Birth, Marriages and Deaths for England and Wales from 1837 to the present day. You will need to download special software to view images. The website charges £5 for 50 page images. It also offers advice on how to find information on divorce records, adoption records, birth, marriage & death certificates, parish registers, wills & probate and how to trace living relatives.

I hope this will help, if only a little - http://www.familyrecords.gov.uk/frc/research/divorcemain.htm Divorce Records from 1858 The Family Records Centre does not hold any divorce records, but we do hold indexes to the divorce case files from 1858 (mostly before 1938) that are held in The National Archives at Kew. The case files are in record series J77 and can only be consulted at Kew since they are original documents and have not been microfilmed. The Divorce Registry is now part of the Principal Registry of the Family Division. If you need legal proof of a divorce in any court, from 1858 to the present day, please contact: Principal Registry of the Family Division Decree Absolute Section First Avenue House 42-49 High Holborn London WC1V 6NP
