My granddad had a younger sister who died of the measles when she was small (would have been 1925 to 1930 I think) He never spoke about it to anyone apart from when he mentioned it in passing to my little sister. I dont even have a name for her but feel compelled to find out more about her. Apart from trawling the BMD I dont what else to look at. I know its a long shot and I may never find her. Can anyone suggest anything else at all?

If she died when she was little, then with those dates you should be able to find her birth because the mother's maiden name is in the indexes for those years. Once you have her name you can find her death. It shouldn't take too long on Ancestry as there won't be many years. Janice
