This is something that genes said they were trying to sort out a long time ago, and we are still waiting. I have the same problem because my grandparents were cousins. It gets very confusing when I let other people see my family tree. |

I think we all come up against this problem. I had one set of greatgrandparents who were cousins. I have not tried it but I am told if you make your tree with a family tree programme such as ftm and export it here, genes displays it properly. I just add a message to say this person appears twice on my tree. Anne |

It was hard to think how to phrase this question in a brief title but I'll explain more here. My grandad and nan each had a brother or sister who also married, if that makes sense. My grandad had a brother who married my nan's sister...that's better. What I want to do is add this to my GR family tree but can not find the way to do it as there seems to be no method of recognising an individual as someone else when I add details. Is this just something I have to forego with GR or does anyone know a way to add this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Chris |
