Thats a brilliant page. Just wish I had ancestors in the Met. I have one policeman in the family tree, but unfortunately not from the Met. I'm sure it will be of help to lots of people. Kath. x

Hi Linda, Thanks for that I have a G/G/G/grandfather who died we think on duty, but the police archives seem to give us the run around, so I'll give it a try Regards Sheila

Very interesting page on a site that gives deaths, on duty, of police officers in the metropolitan police....dates 1829 to 1899...Gives name and description of how they died...........Linda................ http://www.met*police*uk/history/remembrance2*htm
