thanks for everyones advice,but i live in garston,liverpool....5 miles from old hall st/and library,and i have tomorrow off,so i`ll kill 2 birds with 1 stone..and i might have a pint as well...cheers...allan

allan, why travel and waste energy when you can order online. I get all my certs from 1837online which has a link to southport GRO, same cost and same wait time, saves the bus fare ..LOL.........moe

hi allan, can i just add that if your like me and live a long way from the pool(120miles0you can ask a researcher to do it for you,ive had a lot of research done for me,it costs £16 HR BUT ITS WORTH IT FOR THE AMOUNT OF INFO GAINED.XXX

Alan If you go to the Library in william brown street.You can find lots of info on liverpool families. If you know what churches your reletavies were married or baptised in . The staff are very friendly, and will always help you. you could ring them on monday morning and see if they have a microfilm machine free.They cost 50p for two hours.you can also ask if you can have a machine with a printer attached.If you are searching Liverpool marriages it is alot cheaper than going to the register office,as copies are only 60p.The library is open on a sunday i think, so you could ring them tomorrow. is the liverpool records office for bmd in old hall st or the town hall.??..do you have to make an appointment?/ if not ,how long do you normally wait?? and how much does a birth or marriage cert cost...got monday off,pointless going if you have to make an appointment...thanks...allan
