Hi there. I know that Eliza Chin married John Dunstan in the Redruth area of Cornwall in1872 (december quarter). On the 1871 census Eliza seems to be with her grandparents - William Chin (64, farmer, St Keverne) and Ann (45, born Camborne). Apart from being able to find Ann Chin widowed and living on her own in the 1881 and 1891 census I can't seem to find anything else. Just wondering if anyone could find anything from earlier than 1871? William Chinn died age 48 Redruth in 1873 and I think the correct marriage for him and Ann is Jun 1849 Redruth (William Chinn and Ann Murton) Thanks Laura

Hi K That could be a possibility! Although there is the marriage in 1848, which would be before the 1861 census. Hmmmmm Why is it this side of the family (not just chin, but dad's side!) that is always causing me problems! lol Thanks for the help and ideas. Laura x

There is an OPC (online parish clerk) for Camborne, who would be able, hopefully, to give you even more information - The Online Parish Clerk for Camborne is Sally Cann - http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb*.*com/~camborneopc/
