It's not Outlook Express that has faults! Outlook Express is only the software that you read the emails on (that's it). I use Outlook Express and I don't have any problems because I don't have Orange or TalkTalk as my ISP. If you have problems with your email it is your ISP's fault or the ISP of the person you are sending emails to. ISP stands for Internet Service Provider. If your email has faults its because somebody's servers aren't working properly. If the servers aren't working properly then you get a mail backlog (like with normal mail). This is why emails often turn up late because they have been delayed by faulty servers etc. Hope this makes it clear. Internet Service Providers are: AOL Orange BT Tiscali etc etc Cheers, Horatia |

Just this minute got off the phone to the Talktalk call centre in India, yea I know cluck, cluck, and I was told that there's been problems since saturday with Outlook Express. The call centre operator apologised and stated they are doing what they can to rectify the fault(s) and it should hopefully clear within 48 hours. |

Thanks Betty will look at what he has suggested. Just logged on and have had 77 Spam emails with half of them being mail returned to me that I have not sent. Driving me nuts. Not one email for me either! Thanks again. Pam. |

Hi mary, The only mail I have returned is any address in canada or America, I don't know why this is yet, just says there are fatal errors. However if this person sends me an e-mail and I just click on reply and type the message and send it goes off no problem. Betty |

I'm with Wanadoo and also Outlook Express. Had similar problems with e mails being returned but only now and then are they ones that I've actually sent. The others have an address on that I don't recognise at all. I have asked other computer peeps about this and been told just to delete the Mail Delivery Return mail and it's nothing to really worry about - i.e. no virus or anything like that. Did virus scan to make sure and it was clear. So, don't know quite what it is............but if mail you are sending to peeps you know gets back then that might be a different matter particularly if its too regular. |

Hi Pamela, I have contacted Orange who were previously Wanadoo who were previously Freeserve about this matter and I am still awaiting a reply. Maybe you can follow what Keith has done and this will help you too. Betty |

Hello Betty, I have had exactly the same problem. Have not been able to sort it out either. I am also getting lots of emails from postmasters saying emails can't be delivered even though I dont recognise addresses and have not sent them. I was with freeserve etc etc. Perhaps it is a problem with them. Would love to get it sorted out though. Pam. |

If you get another error message, check the server address (previously 83.138.189.75] and put this into the Check Query box on the home page. If it has been used for spam it will tell you so in the query results. Below that is another entry box for Remove ISP from PSBL, click remove ISP. This will clear them from the list |

Hi Keith, This website you gave me which part do I go into to change the Spam thing. Passive Spam Block List PSBL News List query Remove an IP Latest events How to use PSBL PSBL FAQ About PSBL This interface allows you to find out whether an IP address is/was listed in the PSBL and why. For every IP address that is/was listed, the site will show you the time(s) a spamtrap received email from said IP address, as well as the time(s) the IP address was removed from the list. KeithInFujairah | Report | 4 Nov 2006 14:40 |
Yes you should be able to, give me a second, have to change laptops. Right to block an address, you need to highlight the e-mail in the list, select 'Message' from the menu bar at the top, then from that menu select Block Sender, this brings up a dialogue box, if you click yes it will remove any messages from that sender. Take a look at this site http://www.maclean-nj.)com/compute/oespamblocking.htm again remove ) |
