Hi Keith Yes I have found them in 1851, Henry not with then so i am assuming he was married to his 1st wife then. But I can't find them. George is there with his family and his occupation is now silk worker. Cheryl |

Hi Cheryl, I suspect they are one and the same, perhaps he got promoted between the 1841 census and the 1854 marriage, have you found them on the 1851? |

Hi Has anyone any suggestions. I have the Marriage certificate for my Gt x 3 Grandfather dated 1854.they were married at The parish church in Astbury Cheshire Here are the details: Henry Foden 28 Widower Occupation Silk Drefter Father: George Foden Overlooker Mary Ann Sherratt 25 spinster Father: George Kilminster Sherratt Weaver On the 1841 Census there is only one George Foden born c1791 with a son Henry born c1826. but it states he is a Silk Weaver, how can I be sure it’s the right one?
