Local BMD for Oldham, Lancs transcribers now put the maiden name of the mother on the Births Search site. If only all ltranscribers in other counties could do this, what a difference it makes. You can see at a glance which are the children you`re looking for, it verifies the maiden name if you`re not sure , and it cuts out all those wrong certificates. Jay. |

June the mothers maiden name is on all birth indexes from about 1912. Georgina. |

Hi June Yes its alot easier, bathbmd(.)org(.)uk put the mothers maiden in from 1837 - 1973 aswell. Cant wait for it all to be transcribed! |
