There are SO many sites that are useful. Its best to ask on here for a particularly query and people with specialised knowledge can give you pointers. But one of my favourite sites is Dockland Ancestors. If you have ancestors born or living around the London dock areas, its a wonderful resource. And they have online baptism records not available anywhere else on the net - Ive used it many times and its so worthwhile as you get not just the fathers occupation and the actual dates of birth and baptism but you get the full address of the parents - lovely real information to have on your tree. |
