His name was George Massie and he was a 'Master Baker'....well I do know that he was a baker because that is his occupation according to the census. One day I AM goinf to find out I am related to royalty lol lol, yes I will keep you all updated on that one. Kathlyn

google 'Mayors of Bootle' with the inverted commas and theres a web page giving all the past mayors from 1869 -1973

Google for Bootle, then contact the local authority, they should have a record of all former Mayors. Jennifer

Not sure if I have asked this question before, but here goes.... The family story says...my granddads stepfather was once a Mayor of Bootle, Lancashire about 1895ish. Is there any way I can prove/disprove this story? Kathlyn
