If you have added this person to your tree, then they should come up in the Kinship report. I have just checked this with my tree, and everyone I have entered, comes up in the Kinship report. Kath. x |

As far as I understand they should still be in the kinship report, it will say something like' Husband of the 2nd cousin'. |

Hello All, Thank you all for your kind help, I did know about the page turned down at the corner, I knew that was to find how we are connected.....but if it is through a marriage somewhere and not listed in that report how can we find out. Wendy R |

I use FTM2005. If you go to 'reports' (symbol like a sheet of paper with the corner turned down), and click on Kinship Report, it works out the relationship of everyone in your tree. Make sure you have yourself on the main screen. Kath. x |

Wendy, I'm on FTM Version 10 and it has something called a Kinship Report - this shows slightly more distant relationships OK, I think. Regs Annie |

Hello Patrica, Thank you ......yes I did know about the relationship calculator in tools...what I actually meant if they are not a relation they are in your tree as they are connected through a marriage....what is the best way to work this out, hope you understand what i mean. Wendy R |

if you go into tools there is a relationship calculator, just type the names in and it works it out for you. |

Using Family Tree maker prog, if I have a contact who is connected through marriage and not a bloodline.....how do i check to see how this person would connected to my line of the tree. Hope I am making sense. Wendy R |
