It's a complete coincidence. Each quarterly index starts from the beginning. Similar names are likely to come at roughly the same point in the index each quarter, so a 100% match within a surname is bound to happen every so often. The chance of them being siblings is smaller but it will happen occasionally. J

It seems strange that the page numbers are the same with over two years between them. However if they lived in a very small place where there weren't many births registered, then I suppose they could be on the same page. The volume number would be the same if they were born in the same area. If you would like to send their names in a p.m. I would be willing to check (not saying you can't read properly, LOL) Kath. x

i have a birth entry for A/M/J 1955 and one for 1957 O/N/D they are brother and sister who are still living . but the vol no and the page numbers are the same would this be a mistake thanks hazel.
