Hi There Please help me I have been researching my fathers side of the family for a very long time and getting nowhere. The family I am researching Beatty my fathers name was William Desmond Beatty he was born in Dublin on 26th march 1921 his parents Eugene Margaret Beatty his fathers occupation civil servant his mothers maiden name Staines. My father died when I was just 13 so knowledge of his roots are very little and trying to get access to Irish records is amost impossible. so please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. What factual info do you have ie certs...... is this information just from a rellie ??

Lynne I am sorry this is not very helpful but both my parents were from Dublin & I know how hard it is getting family history from Ireland. If you live anywhere near an LDS centre (church of the latter day saints) they have family research centres and you can phone & book records to view, they have the BMD indexes on microfilm for Ireland & I found my grandmothers death reference in 1919, have you checked the website for the GRO in Ireland? http://www.groireland.ie/ Good luck with your search.
