Maggy, I live in Bridlington and can easily visit the library. There is a collection of newspapers cutting from around that time - which feature a lot of births, marriages and deaths and odd items of news - thankfully the man that compiled the 'scrapbooks' did fully index them. They do have newspapers on microfiche for this period but without an idea of date I do not really fancy trawling through them all - back plays up after a while. Also electoral registers, trade directories, school lists, monumental inscription booklets etc - far too many items to list on here. If you want to send me a pm with details I can certainly take a look for you sometime this week. Maureen

Does anyone have access to these records please? My great great grandmother died between 1902 and 1911, but I can't find her death on the index. Her husband remarried in 1911 and would like to know when she died. Ideas anyone?
