Although I've never heard of the middle name Cable, a search on freebmd with * as a first name and Cable as a 2nd, shows that many others had that name too.... but no Harrisons showed. Gwyn |

My ancestors were English and Irish. One family carried the mother's surname on for three generations. My most unusual was my grandfather and his siblings. My grandfather and one sister had the middle name of Vaus; his other brother and sister had the middle name of Stuart. All of my unusual middle names have turned out to be last names, with only one being from the father's side. Good luck with your Cable search. |

Often it will be a surname of an ancestor - perhaps on the mother's side, but not always |

I'm trying to find any information about my Grandad, his name is common apart from what I think is a rare middle name. John Cable Harrison. As far as I know he was brought up and lived in Scotland, having a child in 1946. Is this middle name a clue worth following and what does it mean? GH |
