Slightly quicker than normal (usually they are about four days turnaround) but the certs are pretty exceptional. It is worth the SAE just to avoid the creases, payment by chq or credit card (surcharge for c/c payments), Applications can be made by post or by telephone via 01522 782244 The office hold the records for the whole of the county so a valuable resource for Lincolnshire certs. Marriage certs can be a problem at times, without a venue there are over 70 registers to check just for the City of Lincoln but they do try. Glen |

I applied for a birth cert on Thursday and recieved it this morning, Saturday. The service here is very good and staff very helpful. Go to Lincolnshire County Council web site and find the Registration of BMD page. You can print off a request form & the cost is £7 plus a sae. If they cant find what you want your money is returned. The certificate is a scan of the original document. Though I was glad to get the cert it was also a bit sad as the birth had taken place in a Workhouse in 1881. |
