looking on ancestry for my other grandfather i type his name in and it comes up with eng wales death index how do i view it ive paid for credits but cant view please tell me what im doing wrong.. sorry i expect everyone thinks im thick........ |

If you want the full BMD index, try this link: http://www.ancestry.*co.uk/search/rectype/vital/freebmd/bmd.aspx Just select the years you want to search. The FreeBMD index is transcribed, as are 1984-2000. The other is just images, so you have to trawl to find who you're after. |

Hi Wendy - not sure but can recommend the most economic way to use is Ancestry is to buy a month's membership at about £10. You have to make a note to cancel on the day of expiry or it will automatically renew. The Ancestry helpline are usually very helpful and it's free... Liz |
