Does this ring a bell with anyone on this site? About 2 months ago I posted a message on the Hastings and St Leonards Chess Club Forum. I had found an article about my great great uncle on there and was asking if he was still a member. Somebody else found my message and replied - as neither of us are members she asked me to post any reply on the forum. She hasn't been back as far as I know. There is just a chance it could be a member of this site. It was somebody called Stella C.... who said 'My grandad has informed me that His Auntie (Daisy or Dorethy Burt (maiden name)) married Lewcocks of Hastings who owned a Restaurant.' On the other hand, maybe these names ring a bell with somebody else? We are trying to find out what became of that branch of the Lewcocks after they moved to Hastings in the early 1900s. |
