I see a lot of requests on the GR Boards for look up's in certain areas . What a lot of people may not know is that there are dedicated lists available free that you can subscribe to and ask questions about any specific area . The lists are hosted by Rootsweb and there's dozens of them . When you subscribe to a list you get an e-mail of all the posts sent to that list and it's very much a help each other process very much like the GR boards . The best part of this is that the people who subscribe to these lists often have records that are not freely available on the net so the chance of a remote look up is greatly increased . You can see a list of these lists and subscribe to as many of them as you want to. The website address is . http://lists.rootsweb*com/index/intl/ENG/ .
