Ok, i have a William Henry Barber born in the Scarborough District, Volume 9d, Page 390. He went on to marry Jane Ward in the June quarter of 1924. How can i find out his parents or more details without having to buy a certificate?

You can't, unless you view his baptism record, which will only be held at the local records office.

Ok, the birth certificate of William Henry Barber arrived today............and it said this.............his father was called Charles Henry Barber and his mother was Rosina Barber formerley Lerd ? (i've put a question mark because that is my best transcription! ...bad handwriting!)......the father was a hotel barman, and the family resided in Scarborough. In short, .............i cant trace any marriage for the parents and i cant trace them in the census......can anyone help?!!!! i'll check for updates in the morning, thank you for your help in advance.!
