Another way using Microsoft publisher open Publisher 1)Open a blank document 2) on tool bar insert picture from file, open the picture you wish to edit 3) the picture should now be on your blank document 4) on tool bar click crop (looks like two courners overlaping) 5)Black icons appear around picture adjust as needed 6) when finished right click and save picture as, this will then save it as a picture and not a publisher file

Microsoft Office Picture manager is easier to use 1) open Picture 2) Edit and crop 3) black icins appear around picture adjust sides, to bottom as required 4) Click ok when finished and save

Hi Are you on windows XP? You should have Microsoft Photo Editor Ok will try to explain step by step 1) open the the File where the picture is, not the picture just the file 2) Right click on the picture a list should be visable go down the list to 'Open With' then click Microsoft photo editor (mpe for short !) 3) Picture should now open in mpe 4) on the tool bar there should be a box broken lines hover your mouse should say 'select' 5) click the box, now very slowly left click and hold your mouse, from the top right corner of the picture down and across select the part of the image you wish to keep 6) this should now have a box going round it 7) Go to edit click copy 8) Go to edit and paste as new image 9) save your now croped image Ihope that helps if not pm me and i will do it for you regards sharon

Margaret, Your photo software may have a 'CROP' option. Usually you have to click and drag an outline box over the area of the image that you want to keep. If you click on 'help' on the toolbar, it should give you a step by step guide. Hope this helps Anne in North London

It is a PDF Document so opens in Acrobat. On the Acrobat tool bar click on the the camera icon, then draw around the area you wish to print, click on print and make sure that Selected Graphic is activated in the Print Range, then click on OK. This should ensure you print without the black area. Jennifer

Hi Margaret. If you have any software to handle photographs, you should be able to load the image into that. The software should have a TRIM option that allows you to cut off the edges as you require. Jim
