Hello, Could someone please advise me to where the best place to order a marriage cert is on line. I have all the info needed to order it including volume and page numbers but there seems to be so many places you can get them and I'm not sure if some of them are ok or not. I did have a look on Ancestry but couldn't work out how to order it unless you had found the record on there first and this record doesn't seem to be on there. Hope you can help. Maria.

Hi, I've just had a look at this site to order the marriage cert I need . It says you can order marriage, birth and death certs from 1900 to up to 18 months ago. The marriage cert I need is from 1883. Does this mean I can't order this on line ???

Hello Maria, yes you can order certs back to 1837 from the GRO. Try this link :- http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ They cost £7 each Keith

Hi, That was easy . Ordered the marriage cert and it's being dispatched the 3rd Nov. Does a marriage cert from 1883 contain names of bride and grooms parents ? Maria.

It will show the bride and groom's fathers and their occupations. Linda
