Hi Sue I have mailed GR twice and asked this question and so far they have evaded answering, I don't think they know. Joan |

I, and others, have had the same problem and it is very confusing. Like you, I contacted GR about it, but their reply did not answer my query. |

I had the opposite on hot matches, showing two matches, checked them and found anywhere between 2 and 20! Some of which were repeated 3 times with same details on same contact. |

Yes, Keith, I have the same confusion; it says I have e.g. 5 Hot matches and then presents 20. The only thing I can think of is that the owner has changed something in the record but not added a completely new record. e.g. spelling. new notes, changed dates, so what you are seeing is all the changed records as well as the new ones. What I would like to see on Hot Matches would be: The Full Name of the Contact if already contacted (saves time on trawling through the Contacts to see which 'John' it was), the complete name + date + place if a single match (saves two clicks), a user filter set on which name matches should be returned (so as to eliminate non-blood lines & stubs), and only matches which have a date and place name to be presented. Also the Contacts pages should be alaphabetical by surname with A, B,...pages, not 1, 2, An option to also filter by exact/any place name and date would also be useful. I have already sent a change request on the above to Support but as usual no reply. Ah well, we can only dream and keep clicking. Maybe GR management gets Paid Per Click (PPC)! |
