Hi there,i think i have found my relations in 1881 but t ere is a child i knew nothing about,can someone please check the 1871 census please for thomas and susan/susannah stannard, thomas bn approx 1802 susan born 1802,1818?she varies constantly they both say they were born Ipswich the child i am unsure about is benjamin stannard born approx 1867 Thanks in advance hugs xx

Thanks Kath but i dont think its the right ones,they'd always lived in Ipswich and were married here and there children were born here,in 1881 they were in Ipswich and all other census,so they should be around that area. Hugs xx

Hi Danuella The first family that I found in 1871 - the married daughter Susannah Sage and children were all born Ipswich. This is her marriage - in Ipswich:- Name: Susannah Stannard Year of Registration: 1862 Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun District: Ipswich County: Suffolk Volume: 4a Page: 803 Also on the page - Charles Sage. Hi Kath sorry i looked at yours briefly and saw thomas said he was born middlesex and thought,nah,But my thomas was a coppersmith and his daughter did marry a sage OMG this is getting more confusing what is thomas marriage status please??Hugs xx

It says Thomas is married, but no wife with him. Maybe she was still in Ipswich. Seems strange - surely the Sage children are his grandchildren, not niece and nephew???? Kath. x
