Am a newbie to this. I have found details of my wife's grandfather in the births register it says vol.5a page 272. How do i view this page please? Thanks

Hi Allan, if you have the reference (you have 5a 272) you can order the certificate online here - http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ The images are not available to view, the only way is to order the certificate at £7 each. This will give you both parents names, including mothers maiden name. Good luck Keith
