I know that the Peace family appear on the 1851 census taken in Wortley, Leeds. I just need to know if the census shows the marital status of the occupants or their relationship to each other or even the street/s they all lived on. My Peace family are there (James Peace aged 47) but there are others mentioned of a similar age and I wonder whether to presume they are siblings/cousins of his. Thanks, Andy

Do you mean the relationship to each other within the household?

Thanks Kath, On the same area census there is a John & Alice Peace both aged 48. I am interested to find out if John may have been a cousin or brother of James. Of course the census won't tell me this, but I wondered if It told me the street name so I could look at their proximity. Thanks, andy

I'll have another look, Andy. I didn't see a John and Alice Peace first time round. Kath. x

Hi When I started researching this there were no replies, I have been pipped at the post, but I will send it anyway Name B Year Relation James Peace c1804 Head Caroline Peace c1815 Wife Thomas Peace c1833 Son Emma Peace c1835 Daughter Ellen Newton Peace c1836 Son William Peace c1838 Son George Peace c1840 Son Isaac Peace c1841 Son Abraham Pence c1843 Son Joshua Pence c1845 Son Matthew Pence c1847 Son Charles Pence c1849 Son You will note that Ellen Newton Peace is marked as 'Son' I have had a look at the image and I think that it is actually Ephraim Newton, also towards the end the name changes to Pence, this is also mistranscribed. Hope this is what you wanted. Tony Lee-Delisle
