I have just downloaded an image from 1901 Census but I cannot read the profession of the father Joseph Lund, could anyone please take a look and offer some suggestions, Ive enlarged it but still cannot make it out. I looked up- JOSEPHINE LUND age 1 year, birth year abt 1900,father Joseph,Mother Annie, born Hampstead,London RG13; Piece:122: Folio:59; Page:46 Many Thanks Brenda

Looks like Agent Provision working on Own Account .ie self employed

Thank you Shirley -gosh you have good eyesight - I used my specs and a magnifying glass together -suppose that could mean a grocer possibly. Brenda

My best guess is the same, but 'provision' is spelt with two s's. Are we sure his name is Lund? The initial letter is a bit flowery and could be something else. Have you found him in 1891? I had a look on Ancestry but all the Joseph Lunds of the right age were born in the north of England.
