can I get Australian records through Ancestry from England? I have a relative who went there in 1890, and although his granddaughter got in touch with me through this site and emailed me at home she has never got back to me. I really would like to filll the tree in. thanks Jennifer

I've just renewed (well updated my credit card details ready for the 27th) but the change had already happened. Now the first things that are 'on offer' are all the American databases. There is a choice 'UK census collections' - and when I did manage to find a way in, found heaps of things listed alphabetically under counties - and that is where the English births, deaths and marriages are - under 'E' for England!! Unhappily I am unable to find my way back there!! I am NOT a happy camper at the moment although I will no doubt eventually get used to it - and maybe even be grateful for the extra information that seems to be there. Or now I have renewed without upgrading, perhaps it will revert to the way it has always been. Here's hoping. Maybe being in Australia has something to do with it. We have freereg here already too. Hi Victoria I've just been in Ancestry - the BMD index's are still where they've always been. No idea why you can't find them, maybe you need to adjust your pc settings or something.

I was in Ancestry earlier today - no problem. Now it has been upgraded and I KNOW I SHOULD be grateful for all the new databases BUT I just wanted to find the plain old BMDs' - and I can't!!! So Carolina, with the best will in the world I am unable to find a marriage of James Lowther to Elizabeth ....... or the marriage of Elizabeth Lowther to her first husband!! If I do find my way in.... Victoria - currently very disgruntled
