I have just had a newsletter from lost cousins to say they have added the 1881 Canadian census which is free to search at familysearch.org for matching. Unfortunately my relatives went to Canada much later but I thought it might be useful for someone. Anne

The 1881 Canadian census is free on Familysearch as is the 1880 U.S. one. The 1901 Canadian census is free on Automated Genealogy, also the 1911 one but the indexing isn't complete on that one yet.
