Hi There Hope some kind soul out there can help. I just visited Blaenau Ffestiniog and found a gravestone of a probable relative but it is in Welsh. Could anyone translate it for me. hi Clare, in loving memory of the children of Jane thomas meirion of hotel meirion of blaenau ffestioniog. owen henry thomas who diedon the 6 jan 1903 10 months old stanley cooke thomas who died on the 13th dec 1917 12 months old. edith thomas who died in 1918 1 year and 9 months old. also the above jane thomas; wife of owen thomas died on the 24th nov 1928 at 53yrs old . also owen cooke thomas who died 5th march 1938 at 58yrs hazel.

this is the best I can do, think I got most of it incliding the main bits. In Loving memory of the beloved children of Owen and Jane Thomas, Meirion Hotel Baenau Ffestioniog Owen Henry Thomas, died 6th January 1903, 10 Months old. also Stanley Cooke Thomas died 13th Decembre 1917, one year and four months old. also Edith Thomas died 8th June 1918, one year and nine moths old. Also the above Jane Thomas beloved wife of Own Thomas, died 24th November 1928, 53 years old. Gentle sister of me pain ….. – lie in grief of my loss, father and child cry tears (Having trouble with:- Emynau lleddf min y lli Hefydd am ei phriod, think it’s something like…Hymn (minor, flat) edge the flood/ issue …..depth of the partner) Owen Cooke Thomas died 5th June 1983 58 years old (Also having trouble with the last bit can’t figure any of it out:- Amiability atcofion hawddgarwch ei dowod sv’n parchau er ffarvel – a maghlud ei haul,)
