Has anyone had a reply from Genes Reunited?

I am interested to know if anyone has had a reply from Genes Reunited regarding the problems that have been encountered with the changes that have been made to the system. I have sent an email, does it take long to receive a response? John

Yes. However it didn't address the issue raised as the 'boffin' hadn't read my comment properly. My follow up message got better reply. The main issue here is not the reply but the sollution to our problems. Why don't GR just put the old version back on line. It is still running as one can still access it. We are paying for this service of being able to SHARE data with others and at present we are denied this. I have requested a free extension of membership equal to the number of days that this tech fault remains unresolved.

Hello to John in Japan, Pauline, Linda and Lord Martyn ... :-) Certainly worth asking for the free extension of membership. We were granted an extra week a while ago when there was a big problem with the site. (I joined on 13th April, and the membership expires 20th April.)

I have not been given an extra week to compensate for the time the site was down because of the trouble, my expiry date has always been June 11

Yes ! To be fair, I have prompt, polite, replies to all the queries I put to them... whether it is questioning their action on banning a person, what is a Ged com, what are they doing with our trees or whatever else. They are working on improvements to the new tree and to 'bear with them'. So we wait and see and perhaps they will come up with the format of the new tree with the ease of negotiation of the old?? ..... and perhaps not! M

Have had reply to say they are working on the system. However that's not a lot of help to we subscribers. Have made further complaint. Let's see what they say this time.

I have had several replies! Unfortunately none of them have been relevant to the questions I posed ..... I am becoming increasingly disheartened with this site, which used to be my first port of call & now I just pop in occasionally with a vain hope that something will be resolved, but I am not holding my breath!
