The name after the word 'late' is her first married name, and the name after the word 'formerly' is her maiden name. Kath. x

I received my gt grandmothers birth cert this morning. Her name is Annie Elizabeth Maddocks. Her father is Joseph Maddocks but in the mothers box it says Eliza Maddocks, late Winn formerley Athill (I think, I can,t read the writing). Does this mean she was widowed and remarried.
