Export tree quick.

Me thinks it would be a good idea to Export our trees befor the site breaks down for good. At least you would have all the hard work on your PC.

There are plenty of free family tree programs out there for you to download, and keep backed up. NEVER keep your tree on GR solely or anywhere else come to that.

Already did it prior to this latest change. Just a question of deciding which should be the master copy. I bought Family Tree Maker and imported the GR copy into that. It is also a good idea to keep important data backed up on external media such as a flash drive or a CD just in case your hard disk bites the big one. I invested in a high-speed DVD writer which allows me to get up to 4 gigs on a single disk. That will allow you to back up software as well as data so that you don't have to load the default copy and re-input all your settings.
