Hi Teresa, I did look at the image on Free BMD, but then went on Ancestry to double check on Daniel and noticed the discrepancy (spelling) I have ordered certs before and have just used the grooms name when I haven't known the brides name, so I suppose I would have done that this time had I not have known. Just checked both images, both remarkably clear, and you're right, one says 320 the other 321, crystal clear. Sound like one was on one page of the register and the other was the first entry on the next page. I'd order one but ask them to reference one page either side. |

Mary, if you click on the little pair of specs on FreeBMD, next to the page number, you can see the image yourself and check it. I does sound like a mistranscription though. 1856 marriages for the Sept Qtr are in progress as we speak and will be online soon, I'm transcribing E's at the mo. |

Just order the certificate using just one of the names and give the page number that is down for that person. The GRO staff once told me that they would check a couple of pages either side of the number given if there was a mistake. Kath. x |

I have found the marriage ref for my GG Grandparents marriage on the full index on Ancestry. The problem is that for the groom the ref is Martley 6c 321 and for the bride the ref is Martley 6c 320. I want to order the cert but which page number do I use? I know I have the correct couple as I have their names on their daughters birth cert, and their marriage is on the IGI. Best Wishes Mary |
