Hi again Can anybody help me with this please. In 1901 census 2 of my relates worked as a labourer/stoker in a candle factory.They lived 64 holland street lambeth .I nan said there was 1 in Battersea .Could this be the 1 or does anyone know of any others that existed in the area? regards LIzz |

Maid Marion ,Nell and Loopy This is getter weirder by the minute because Walter Cox My G/grandad worked in the candle factory with his brother William and Walters daughter married a man called Jack Price (wonder if there is a connection to factory owner) regards Lizz |

Hi Liz If you read the history of Price's, unfortunatley neither of the founders/owners was a Price, as middle-class merchants, going into candle making was originally seen as beneath them, so they picked a name out of mid-air - sorry - no family fortune here!!!!! Looby |
