My mother's (Barbara Rusecka) maternal mother (Stephania RYTWINSKA) died when my mother was just 6 yrs old. I want to find out some information on my maternal grand-mother as my mother was too young to remember this kind of info e.g. date of birth and relations. I want to get this done by christmas for my mother so any tips would be sooooo greatly received. The catch....my maternal grandmother was born in poland..... PLEASE HELP!! Any suggestions would be a great starting point for me...I don't know where to begin to look |

Did grandmother die in Poland too....as this will have a bearing on how anyone might help.? If you put ...Poland....or.....Polish ....into the search boxes on these message boards, you might find ideas that have helped others. It is not easy, I know because I believe records are more localised rather than central. My husband was lucky enough that he used to have a work collegue with family in Poland who helped search but even then it was a hard task. Do you know someone in Poland or who can speak the language? Thanks for your input Gwyn. I believe she died in England...but it could be Poland (this is a question I need to ask my mum). My mother speaks polish but we don't have anyone actually living in Poland who can help us with this. My mother found this website http://www.inpassa.com/ so I was thinking of contacting them for help (but you never know how helpful it is going to be...) |

Natalie If grandmother died in England, she should be on the Ancestry lists and we could look for her. Would you like to post her name at death and which year and I'll take a look? Gwyn |

Wow that would be GREAT! Her name at death would have been STEPHANIA RUSECKA (nee RYTWINSKA) but her date of death is a tricky one..it would most likely be 1958 (give or take 2years)...does that help? Thank you! |
