Just a side note - I did find a Joesph (brother to the Alfred I gave you earlier) and he had a son called Alfred who was born c1890. This might be your lot, but we'll wait and see :)

No, i haven't got them sorry.. I know that they got married in 1919 and thay had my grandad in 1928 if that helps

Do you have your Grandfathers parents marriage cert? or your Grandfathers birth cert?

Im not exactly sure, but my grandads mum was born in 1896 so around that time i would guess. We might be.. Going through the family it seems as though alot of people are named after one another.. ha

My grandad said his dads name was Alfred and his grandads name was Joe. I thought my grandad couldn't remember properley as the only person i could get info on who could have been his grandad was an Alfred. So i thought both his dad and grandad must have been called alfred. Then i looked at someones tree and it matched my family but had no older alfred but did have a joseph! so i thought my grandad must be right after all!! Then you've found all that info and there is an alfred and no joseph! so now im confused, an im sure you are too after reading all that hahaha xx maybe he was called alfred and joe lol i dont know

dont know if you know but the 1901 census is free on ancestory at the moment

Hiya, Was wondering if anybody can help me by looking up on the 1901 census or other information, in order to find out about The children or parents/siblings etc. of Alfred Mitchinson from Wigan (I think he was married to Winifred Carr in 1902) and born around 1882 I know my he had many children including Thomas, John, James, Joseph, Noah, Lucy, Annie, etc.. im trying to find more info about them.. I'm struggling on where to find information on them and would love any help!!! Thanks alot if you can!! xx
