My daughter has two grown up children so no chance now of it being passed on ,tho, must say grandson did give his daughter the second name of Grace which was my mums name & she would have been so chuffed. I can but suggest I suppose altho my family arent interested in family research anyway. Cue the glazed over eyes look!!!

It can also be a short form of Maisie.

As I answered someone yesterday, May is a common name. It may, however, be a mistranscription/misinterpretation of Mary.
