The modern death certs (from 1969 I think) include place of birth on them as well. Of course, whether it's right or not depends on whether the informant knew that detail or not. Richard |

Hi Marie, I don't see any other Albert Simons born around then so it looks as though it might be the same one. Rose |

If the birth and death dates match, they are probably for the same person. Whether they are the RIGHT person is another matter. You need to work back from the marriage certificate using father's first names to check whether you find the correct birth entry. How did you find a place of birth from the marriage details? Gwyn |

I will try and make this as brief as poss. My partner has never known his dad, parents split. He also had a falling out with his mum and doesnt speak to her shes not very forthcoming with info on his dad anyway. Right then, being me, and doing all my family tree, decided to look up his dad. I ordered his mum and dads marriage cert. Which made him Allbert Edward Simons born about 1937 Stepney. Then found a birth Albert E Simons JFM 1937 Stepney. I have now found a death Albert Simons, March 2002 Waltham Forest b;20 Jan 1937. Do you think this is the same person? If I order the death cert it wont show anything will it, but if I order the birth cert and it says 20 Jan 1937 does it mean its him or not? Help Marie |
