Ancestral Trails: The Complete Guide to British Genealogy and Family History (Paperback) by Mark D. Herber - this book is on offer on Amazon at the moment. I was just wondering if anyone has bought it and what it was like please? Thanks Jeannie

It is very informative but very in-depth, not the sort of book to just sit down and read. It is an ideal book to answer most questions one is likely to ask about all aspects of researching Family History. The index itself stretches to many pages so it is easy to find the particular subject of interest. Gwyn

Very good reference book which you find you will constantly be looking at to find out how to further your genealogy research. Definitely not a read from cover to cover book. Of course, like all books, the online genealogy aspect of it gets out of date very quickly. I bought mine at TNA for £5 and decided it was worth that price. Janet
