Its not strictly ancestry question, but I thought if anyone would have an idea, it would be you guys. Basically I am trying to find someone I used to know, but they are not listed in the phone book, have moved on from the last known employment, and the only details I still have are the parents number that I have been trying to ring for a few days now, but no answer. Is there any sort of 'directory' / way of finding out if someone has a mobile phone in their name etc etc? Any advice would be gratefully received.

Ancestry have a free BMD for recent births/marriages/deaths upto 2004; so it may be worthwhile typing the name & location in to see if theyve been married (or sadly died). In the case of marriage, it gives the spouses name too. The electoral roll is good to find people, and you could try googling the name. ie, 'BORIS SPIDER,LIVERPOOL' etc. You never know what might come up.

Hi Have you looked on friendsreumited? Maybe parents are on holiday. Or try 192.com Marion

Have tried friendsreunited, and 192, but will try again. Sadly, will be later than 2004 - as I know that they left their last known employment in 2005. who would have thought it would be so hard to find someone that lives in the same town?!?!?

You could always write to the person c/o the parents...........as the phone was unanswered, as opposed to unobtainable, it means that it is still a 'live' number. Reg
