L.S.B. School, what could it mean please?

Have just found a rellie on 1891 census that gives her occupation as Teacher as LS.B School. they lived in Bow London. Anyone any ideas please. Cant find her on 1901 census maureen |

My grandfather was listed as a 'Board School' teacher, so the explanation would seem feasible Reg |

Thanks Athena and Reggie Didnt think of that - i was wondering if they had schools for the blind in those days. Probably because i was used to the School Board Man more than the teachers (now i am showing my age!!) I can picture him now, riding around the streets on his bike!! Putting the fear of God into all us kids. Maureen |

It's almost certainly London School Board. There certainly were schools for blind children, where they were taught to earn their own living through basket making, chair bottom weaving, etc. |
