Thanks so much everyone. I've found a lot of information on the Exeter and also plans, pictures etc., of the cemetery at Jakarta with what I am positive is the acual grave in the distance. Also a page dedicated to Frederick Copperthwaite. So very many thanks to all. Gloria

Gloria. I have PM'd you. He is listed as Copperthwaite. Frederick. Stoker 2nd Class. I tried sending the site url here but for some reason only the first two words would show, so I had to delete. regards Ray McWilliams.

Thanks, that's the one. There are differing dates for the sinking 28th Feb 1st March, I'm looking for a Frederick Copplthwaite but I just can't find a crew list.

Does anyone know whether there is a crew list published for HMS Exeter sunk 28th February, 1942 in the Java Sea, there was loss of life and survivors, but can find no lists.
