Im looking for a little girl called Jessie Hamblett, she is on the 1871 census as living with James and Jessie Phipps in Liverpool and her aged is 7 but it says little Jessie was born in Cornwall, have searched LDS for her and other census but she is only on the 1871 one, where could little Jessie have gone? Any help would be very much appreciated. Yvonne

Hi Zoe Yes I did notice that, but cos I dont know the name of her Aunt which is also Jessie, I thought it might be a hint to Aunt Jessie's maiden name. Thanks for looking Yvonne

Ive just had another thought as well (which is dangerous) Little Jessie came to Liverpool to live with them and the link I have with Jessie is James Phipps which would have been her uncle. Perhaps Little Jessie came to Liverpool with her parents and they have died or something and left her with her aunty. Yvonne

Hi Zoe Yes thats right I have that information and I know Aunty Jessie was still alive in 1881 but no little Jessie. I had a look in the workhouse as well in liverpool for her but nothing on there, thought she might have gone to the workhouse.
