Peter I don't have a disk, I had the free trial then purchased an unlock code. Netty I have also replied on the Gen Board. Thanks, sorted now. Lynne

I haven't experienced this particular problem but I have had glitches with the FTM software from time to time for other reasons. It usually happens when the program doesn't shut down properly. I find that re-installing the software usually puts things back to normal. Just insert your program disk and go from there.Your family tree data should be safe as it is held separately to the software files.

I wonder if anyone can advise me about a problem I have with FTM 2005. Everything was ok until yesterday when I was experimenting with making a book. Now I cannot see the names of any individuals in the tree in Pedigree View. The oblong boxes are there and when I point my mouse to a box, a pop-up appears with details of the person. I have checked all the menus and looked at the Help but there is nothing to indicate how to correct it. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance. Lynne
