Hi Marie.. If i am correct his wife was Caroline.. This could be the ref for her.. Caroline Longhurst.. March q 1902.. Registered: Hackney.. Born abt: 1843.. If you could trace where she was buried then i would assume that George is buried with her.. Alyson

I suppose if you found a marriage for one of his children and it said their father was deceased on it, it would narrow it down. Or if you found his wife's death cert, it would state whether she was a widow or wife at the time of her death.

I am trying to find the death of my gt gt grandfather George Longhurst b:1839 Shoreditch. He is alive 1901 census RG13/232 with family. I have looked on ancestry free bmd but no luck. Does this mean I have to trail throgh every quarter of every year of the complete bmd? Any tips please. Marie
