Updating is not a good idea...........it messes up the continuity, and can make the replies seem like nonsense. It is much better to add any extra info in the form of a reply.............two benefits accrue; the continuity is maintained, and the thread moves up the board. (It doesn't if you amend your original) Reg

Your not sounding a twit - I've managed to delete instead of update plenty of times, now that's a twit. The update box will bring up the orriginal message but you can add to and delete text from it - a bit like a word document

Thanks, that's what I thought, but then it brings my original message up with no space for the update. Sorry to sound such a twit! Lyndsey

When you have posted a message you will see:- Added By YOUR NAME on 07/10/2006 10:12:06 | Update Message | Delete Message at the top of the message. Click on Update message, edit the text then click the button under the message that says Update message.

Can some one please tell me how to update a message? I've had a go but it doesn't seem to be working! Cheers Lyndsey
