Hi Irene Yes, it is incredible isn't it. I couldn't believe how they had all the logos, the little running man who showed he was connecting etc. It even had ads for signing up for a better service. I wonder how many people actually do think it is real. As you say, better to be sure than sorry. One thing that alerted me was that there was no little security lock symbol on the bottom of the page asking for my credit card information. |

It never ceases to amaze me what tricks people get up to. I am forever getting requests for my banking details from all sorts of people. Better not to answer any emails, always ring and check the company asking for information. I would love to be able to forward all these emails to the police and they could get all these email addresses from these people closed down. Irene |

I have just received a bogus email supposedly from aol saying that my account is about to expire and asking for all my financial information. It looked strange so I checked it with their support group and it is a new scam. DO NOT OPEN OR RESPOND TO an email saying it is from AOL SERVICE CENTER LAST NOTICE and saying you must update your billing and payment information. This looks very authentic with all kinds of aol logos and even ads. but it is not. It has now been reported and aol are taking steps on it. |
